Named after the Dragon Well village in Hangzhou, this variety of green tea was once a favourite of the Chinese emperor Kang Xi in the 1600’s. Hand pressed and fired in a wok, this refreshingly sweet and delicate blend has a pale yellow liquor unlike any other.
Wafer thin, crispy butter galettes sprinkled with a hint of salt. Only a few artisan bakers can boast decadent, light biscuits of such fine quality.

Flavour Profile
This Green tea is named after the Chinese village of Dragon Well or Lung Ching in local parlance. Dragon Well tea has a distinguished shape as it is hand-pressed and shaped in a wok to achieve the perfect level of roasting. Its leaves are broad and flat, a result of laborious drying, but well worth the effort as Dragon Well tea is refreshingly smooth, sweet and delicate, among the very best of Chinese greens. Our ‘Dragon Well Requiem’ is a First Grade version of this truly sublime tea.
